Deaf people can listen to or feel the music

Hello all… How are u all? I had a stomach flu yesterday on wednesday but now I am much better. Sorry about the video seems to be backwards, I am not sure how to fix the problem but as long my signs are understandable, that’s important. Thank you everyone for making comments on my vlog… I try to reply to everyone as best as I can… I enjoy everyone’s comments. Today topic is about, Deaf people can enjoy music, can they? Yes, It is possible… There are ways to do it… Some of those who are deaf and can wear hearing aids are lucky they can hear music some how. I wear hearing aid so I can hear the music with my hearing aid, but without my hearing aids, I can’t hear music at all but I can feel the vibration with music. I like music that has beats in it, like hip hop and rap, understand, I am now more careful about my selection of rap music cuz of some have a lot of swearing words. I can’t hear words and can’t understand the words in music. I would not want to be listening to a bad music in public and ppl looking at me funny cuz of all swears words in the music. So I would ask around if the CD has no swear words or try look for lyrics. So to those who are deaf and listen to music, how do u listen to music? Do u just listen to beats or what or just touch the speakers and feel music? Can some of you who are deaf understand words in music? I can use headphones with my hearing aid, it usually helps when I turn my hearing aid mode to “T”. Without my hearing aids, I can’t hear on my headphones anymore.

my deaf brother loved music and he used his hearing aids to listen to the music.

Glad to hear you feeling better from your stomach Flu. Okay I wear two hearing aids and I can hear the music but trouble follow the song Lyrics and can not understand the words either. I hear the music just noise sound that all. Without I cant hear the music at all. Me too I can’t hear the word and I can’t understand the words in the music . But I can’t sing to follow the music. Without hearing aids, I can’t hear the headphones either asI think those headphone is not stronger enough for our hearing loss or deaf levels. So Maybe asking audiology about special devices that without hearing aids something we can hear . Maybe I’ll ask my audiology about that. But I love to see Sign Language songs will be much better for all of us our deaf and much easier.

Hello,
I have recently been pondering the matter of hearing impaired people listening to musical vibrations (certainly not my area of expertise). I was wondering if there would be much requirement for a device that would allow hearing impaired music lovers to appreciate music more fully, through vibrations?
I am considering some designs for such a device, and would appreciate as much input as possible.

I’m Deaf, and yes i feel the music. I Can lip read and sign the song, “dear mama”, by tupac.
it took me couple months, i went over lyrics, turn music on and feel the beats while i can hear words but don’t understand whats being said. It took me a few trys, and i got it, i can follow lyrics of song and lip read and sign it same time.
if this helps, try to go to youtube.com and type Music u want, and end it with lyrics ( excample, Tupac Dear Mama Lyrics). and page will play music with lyrics in video and u can feel music while hes speaking. it helped me alot.
