Hello all… Good morning, happy Sunday… Here my breakfast, (showing breakfast). My topics will be about my ASL song and deaf travels. Alright, first I want to tell u about my first deaf encounter in my small town I been in for last 2 yrs.since last 2 and half years of living in Inverness, I have never met a deaf person in person in town of Inverness yet, so I felt very alone. well today, thurs evening, I went to the library to pick up a book. well at the front desk, there was a deaf lady working there at front desk, I did not know till other worker intro me to the deaf lady, I was shocked and kinda excited, (kinda silly huh). so we talked alittle but I found it kinda awkward cuz I was still excited inside me. cuz now I don’t really feel alone. I also gave her my e-mail address so I am hoping she will e-mail me… so that way I have a deaf friend here in town. finally!!! that the story, just had to express myself here!!!
What time is it now? Oh oh is it time to travel to Nebraska? Alright, I want to talk about deaf travelers on Greyhound bus, airplanes, trains. I started riding on bus at age about 15, I went to my friend’s house in Colorado. Its alright experience riding on Bus. I did fly on plane about 8 times in my life. I love flying. On Bus, I always have to be careful around people, cuz there’s variety of ppl who could be on drugs, drunk, weirdos or should not be near the person for any reason. Some bus drivers are nice, they talk to their passengers and stuff, while some drivers are mean, they just be demanding of their passengers, or just don’t care or yell at everyone like everyone are bad people.
I tend to sit up front area of bus so I can see the driver, I also let them know ahead that I am deaf. Sometimes I do talk with ppl, I use notepad and pen to make it easier to communicate. One time when I was traveling to Nebraska, I did meet one boy on bus who was deaf so I thought oh cool, we chatted along the way, the boy was kinda odd and interesting but it was still fun to chat with him. Same on planes, I let them know I can’t hear so they can let me know when it time to aboard on plane. So to those who are deaf, what do u do on ur travels when it comes to getting on planes, greyhound bus, trains? How do you tend to communicate with those ppl working for greyhound and airlines? Reason I ask is cuz then I can have ideas what to do traveling on bus and plane from u all… Feel free to tell me about ur stories about experiences on greyhound bus and airplanes? Oh oh I gotta go, oh wait not now lol. Oops I forgot to tell u more things, on bus one time, when I was traveling to Nebraska, there were some bad experiences, one time I was chatting with one older man, about 60s, I was chatting with him using notepad and pen, he also brought me a lunch on bus stops which was nice but the thing was there were times he kinda tried to take me off somewhere and he kept trying to buy me things, so I started realizing he was kinda “hitting” on me and he told me a lot of odd stories. So I was like, ok he’s up to no good so I stopped talking to him and just ignored him. That was only incident I had on the bus. So I guess ya can’t really trust anyone on the bus very much. Sometimes we had bus broke down somewhere and we have to wait for an other bus to come pick us up then we arrive to where we need to go late. Thanks for watching my vlog…
